Qamaniq Sangoya is respected elder, mother and grandmother in Mittimatalik. She and her husband Paniloo lived their early years on the land, and remain keen to see Inuit land skills and value system maintained. In 2017 Qamaniq held a series of discussions with Sarahme Akoomalik and Sheila Katsak about sewing terminology, skills, and about the keeping proper care of sealskin clothing.  This session was filmed by Sheila Katsak, Nancy Wachowich and Gro Ween.
