Mary Amagoalik is a skilled seamstress and community elder.  She has an avid interest in keeping sealskin sewing skills in use among younger generations of Mittimatalingmiut women. In 2016 she worked with her neighbours, Jemima Innuarak and Jeannie Kigutak, teaching them how to cure sealskins.
